Cheap language courses and language offers from universities

Improve your foreign language skills quickly before you start your studies

language course: Improve foreign language skills quicklyYour place in Germany has already been decided or you are on the verge of a longer stay in Germany and would like to refresh your German quickly? Then it certainly makes sense to take advantage of one of the numerous, inexpensive, state-run language courses offered by universities and institutes.

Such offers are available all over Germany, so that you can possibly start your journey and get to know the country and its people before studies or internship.

However, there are often German courses in your home country that are offered, for example, by the Goethe Institute. The language courses are usually particularly well tailored to their target groups, as they are partly taught by university lecturers and teachers who are familiar with the requirements of the study subjects, but also with the special features of their own language.

Inexpensive language courses in Germany

Inexpensive language courses in Germany If you come to Germany as a student to do a semester abroad , for example, you must, as in many other countries, also have a German language certificate, the TestDaF , i.e. the "Test Deutsch als Fremdsprache".

According to the European Framework of Reference, a passed TestDaF corresponds to B2 or C1, depending on your assessment, and proves to you that you have mastered and understand German in every situation.

This is why it makes sense, especially as a prospective student in Germany, to take a language course.

Here are a few institutes and universities where you can take a language course. Remember that in case of doubt you have to register as a guest student or international student for a language course at a university.
